The platform unveiled these in late 2023 as the professional social network surpassed one billion users. Here are some ways to utilise the platform to grow your network and bag the dream job: 1. Creating a LinkedIn profile Ensure your LinkedIn profile is up to date to attract recruiters. Members with a profile photo receive 21 times more views and up to 9 times more connection requests than those without. Include a summary of background and highlight key skills. The choice to use the 'Open to Work' feature can highlight profiles for recruiters and notify the network that you're looking for new opportunities. 2. Finding a dream job LinkedIn has introduced AI-powered job search for its Premium members to make it easier and faster to find their ideal job. By utilising this feature, professionals can get an instant assessment of their fit for a role. Using a conversational approach, members receive advice on improving their chances of getting hired, learn about companies hiring, and get step-by-step interview guidance. For example, you can ask LinkedIn to "Find me a remote marketing job in Riyadh." 3. Enhancing cover letter and CV LinkedIn's AI tools assist in tailoring CVs and writing powerful cover letters. The AI-powered CV review tailors CVs for specific roles, while the cover letter feature drafts personalised cover letters that can be edited and reviewed. This helps job seekers find their dream roles faster and with more confidence. 4. Staying informed LinkedIn provides AI-powered insights to help professionals gain deeper knowledge on any topic. Premium members can get personalised insights on companies or topics they want to know more about. The AI-powered Search feature uses Generative AI to guide members to the answers they seek. 5. Utilising free learning resources AI-powered coaching is embedded into LinkedIn Learning, helping learners find content from over 22,000 courses, including 800 AI courses, with greater personalisation and guided learning.
