Social Media AI Chatbots: The New Way to Connect Students With Personalized Learning Tools
This proves how fast these tools are becoming part of everyday learning. "The rapid growth of the AI chatbot industry shows that these tools are no longer optional -- they are becoming essential to modern education," says Jake Smith, Founder of Private Number Plates. Many students struggle to get help outside school hours. The major reason is teachers are unavailable, tuition centers charge a lot, and also not everyone has someone at home to explain. But with AI chatbots, students can solve this by providing immediate answers -- anytime, anywhere. Let's say you're stuck on a math problem at 10 PM. You can ask a chatbot to get a step-by-step explanation without needing to wait until the next day. This makes it easier to complete assignments, prepare for exams, and clear doubts right away. Jaysen Sudnykovych, CEO & Founder of , adds, "AI chatbots have the unique ability to close the gap when traditional support systems aren't available, giving students a reliable source of guidance whenever they need it most."

SchoolAI Secures $25 Million to Help Teachers and Schools Reach Every Student
LEHI, Utah, April 02, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- SchoolAI, a leading AI platform for teaching and learning, today announced it has closed $25 million in Series A funding to tackle education's fundamental challenge: helping teachers provide personalized attention to every student. The $25 million round was led by Insight Partners, a global venture capital firm known for investing in high-growth technology and software companies. Existing investors, including NextView Ventures, The General Partnership, and Peterson Ventures, also participated, bringing SchoolAI's total funding to $32 million to date. SchoolAI's Classroom Experience platform combines AI assistants for teachers that help with classroom preparation and other administrative work, and Spaces-personalized AI tutors, games, and lessons that can adapt to each student's unique learning style and interests. Together, these tools give teachers actionable insights into how students are doing, and how the teacher can deliver targeted support when it matters most. "Teachers and schools are navigating hard challenges with shrinking budgets, teacher shortages, growing class sizes, and ongoing recovery from pandemic-related learning gaps," said Caleb Hicks, founder and CEO of SchoolAI. "It's harder than ever to understand how every student is really doing. Teachers deserve powerful tools to help extend their impact, not add to their workload. This funding helps us double down on connecting the dots for teachers and students, and later this year, bringing school administrators and parents at home onto the platform as well." Launched for classrooms in August of 2023, SchoolAI is used by teachers and students in more than 1 million classrooms across all 50 U.S. States and over 80 countries worldwide. The platform is embedded in more than 400 school districts through strategic partnerships that train teachers and students how to use AI in a safe, managed way. "Partnering with SchoolAI has allowed us to introduce a tool in the classroom that provides teachers with valuable insights into their students' progress in every class," said Dr. Anthony Godfrey, Superintendent of Jordan School District, which was recognized by ISTE as a Distinguished District for their work bringing AI to students. "SchoolAI makes it easy to help students in a way that wasn't possible before, in a scalable way that makes sure our teachers can do more amazing work without being overburdened or burnt out." With this new funding, SchoolAI will continue scaling to more schools across the globe, develop new products for students, parents, and school administrators, and expand its implementation team to provide comprehensive onboarding and professional development. The company remains committed to equipping stakeholders with powerful tools that can personalize learning and deliver the best school and learning experiences. "We believe AI presents a transformative opportunity for education, and SchoolAI is accelerating the way AI gets adopted by teachers and administrators," said Nikitas Koutoupes, Managing Director at Insight Partners. "Their district-ready platform can support both teaching and learning without compromising critical thinking skills or instructional quality. SchoolAI's relentless focus on student outcomes aligns with the trajectory of the market that we envision. We are thrilled to be onboard." "Education shapes our collective future, so when new technologies enter the classroom, the bar must be exceptionally high," said Stephanie Palmeri, board member and Partner at NextView Ventures. "SchoolAI stands out because they take the serious things seriously-they've built a team of educators and technologists who respect the profound responsibility of bringing AI into learning environments where things like safety and privacy can't be compromised. This authentic 'by educators, for educators' approach is why we were compelled to lead SchoolAI's seed round and continue to invest today." AI Teachers & Bots: Schools Revolutionizing Traditional Learning with AI
Hyderabad: Riding the AI wave, schools across the city are rapidly incorporating AI into their teaching and learning processes, completely embracing this cutting-edge technology. From AI teachers to personalised bots, these institutions are pushing boundaries of modern education. At Nextgen School in KPHB, a saree-clad AI teacher has become a student's favourite teacher and a best friend. This robotic instructor moves, interacts, and answers students' questions, making classes engaging.Transforming classroomsAccording to the school management, this AI teacher has resulted in zero absentees, covering subjects from nursery to Class 10. Currently fluent in English, Hindi, and French, plans are in place to expand its linguistic capabilities to over 20 languages, including Telugu. "We have seen an increase in student curiosity. The AI teacher has become the 'closest pal'. This generative AI robot offers knowledge beyond traditional automated teaching aids," said Surekha K, principal of Nextgen School."It serves as an assistant in classrooms, providing support to teachers by answering students' questions, offering explanations, and even quizzing students. With its multilingual capabilities, it aids in language learning, offering practice in conversation, pronunciation, and listening," added Raghu Kankanala, founder of the school. Interactive learningWhile at Hyderabad Public School, teachers are leveraging AI to create interactive videos and pictures to enhance teaching methods. For instance, these AI-generated videos illustrate the entire respiration process, from inhalation to exhalation, detailing each step. Students can click on specific sections to access additional videos."Currently, science and math teachers are the primary users, but we are gradually integrating AI into other subjects as well," said Narsimha Reddy, principal of Hyderabad Public School, Ramanthapur branch. "For instance, we used AI to create an image of Springs in Hyderabad, resulting in a flowery garden in front of Charminar. We then asked our students to write creatively about it, whether in poetry or essay form. Similarly, we are incorporating AI across all subjects."Geetanjali School has introduced a personalised bot for its students, equipped with the curriculum and additional learning resources.Preparing for the future "This can be used by both teachers and students. After every class, it updates itself with the topic that was taught. Students can refer to it anytime, making it especially helpful for those who struggle academically. They can use this material at home for self-learning," said Maya Sukumaran, principal of Geetanjali School. These schools are also conducting regular workshops and training sessions for educators on integrating AI into classrooms. "We are also launching a vocational AI course after school hours. We believe AI is a crucial 21st-century skill," said Vinjamur Jayashree, principal of Sri Aurobindo School.

New York Teachers: Share Your Thoughts on AI-Powered Tools in the Classroom
New York City teachers: We want to hear from you about how AI-powered tools like ChatGPT are changing the classroom. It's been more than a year since tech group OpenAI introduced ChatGPT to the public, along with a slew of other chatbots and tools that introduce new ways to generate writing and content using AI. Now, some New York City high school students are reporting widespread use of AI-powered chatbots among their peers. And nationally, 44 percent of teens said in an investigation They were likely to use AI-powered tools to do their homework for them, even though a majority considered this to be cheating. Others say they have turned to artificial intelligence as a way to enhance their learning, seeing it as a potential personalized tutor, capable of breaking down difficult concepts and challenging tasks. School districts across the country have had to consider how to respond to new technology, with some large districts deciding to build their own AI-powered tools to Mixed results. Early last year, New York City schools blocked ChatGPT from school devices and networks, citing negative impacts on student learning and concerns about security and content accuracy. But a few months later, the city reversed course, with Schools Chancellor David Banks saying the city's schools were committed to harnessing its potential. Meanwhile, the American Federation of Teachers has released a set of guardrails and other resources to help teachers use new technologies safely. The organization stressed that security and privacy must be prioritized whenever AI-powered tools are used. In a discussion last month at The Neighborhood School, co-sponsored by Chalkbeat, AFT President Randi Weingarten noted that advances in artificial intelligence have prompted questions about how such tools might benefit educators. What if you were using AI, for example, if you were a high school social studies teacher, and you were using AI as a first step in grading to make sure the grammar or spelling was correct? she asked. Some might say, "No, let's not do that," and some might say, "Well, that could be an interesting thing." As the conversation around AI in schools continues, we want to know what you're seeing in your classroom. Are your students using ChatGPT and other AI-powered tools? How do you think this technology is changing schools? Please fill out the form below to let us know.
